The most effective part of the Boys to Men R&B pop song is during the middle when all of the Boys to Men collectively suspect that singing alone will not be enough to seduce the listener and so one of the guys panics and begins talking over the melody as a way to say, “Fine.  If it’s an old fashioned apology you want, then that’s what you’re going to get.  But past that, I don’t know what else we can do here.”
