
“So that was really it?” I asked my main henchman.
He seemed as shocked as I was despite having witnessed the security breach with his own eyes.
“Yeah. It was just some kids. They were dressed in karate outfits and I think they were going to try to kick me,” he said.
“Did you get kicked?” I asked.
“No, but even if I did, it probably wouldn’t have been a big deal,” he said. “The oldest one was like twelve. I just went ahead and shot them all dead - I figured you wouldn’t mind.”
“Yeah, good idea, but man that’s weird,” I said. “Who would send children to stop us? If anything, it’s kind of insulting.”
It was true. I had worked a long time at building a reputation as a not only a successful arms dealer, but a vicious one as well.
“Maybe somebody did that to fuck with me because it’s my birthday,” I wondered.
